Fun Facts about Clayton and Pat:
 | Originally from Winsted, MN. |
 | Clayton is an electrician by trade. |
 | Pat creates handmade crafts that decorate the log houses. |
 | Have 7 children, five of them followed them to Brainerd! |
 | Purchased 80 acres of land as a Christmas tree ranch in 1980. |
 | Moved "up north" in 1988, completed first log home in 1992. |
 | Working on 5th log home, and counting!! |

Fun Facts about the Log Homes:
 | The logs are poplar, cut on Quast's land. |
 | Each log is cut by Clayton, skinned with a drawknife, handscribed to the log below it
and cut to fit with a chain saw. |
 | Each tree takes about 1.5 days of labor to cut, skin and set in place. |
 | The logs are each wiped with linseed oil after the home is complete. |
 | The first log home took ~4 years, the latest one took ~1 year to build. |
 | The floor in each log home is heated. |
 | There is ~12 inches of insulation under the tin roof. |
 | There are no telephones in the log homes. |
 | Each new log home has a hot tub. |
 | Now we offer Disc Golf, bring your frisbee discs and play on our 10
acres, 9 baskets, enjoy the outside. We have limited number of disc on
hand. Also play golf in the rough. |
